Meet our Coaching Staff!

Michelle Waldspurger

Souderton Strikers Manager

Michelle is a former Dock Mennonite Academy HS and Temple University field hockey player. She was a four sport athlete at Dock (field hockey, basketball, softball, and track and field). While at Temple, she was selected as an alternate for Olympic Festival and selected to the USA Developmental A & B team camps. It is her tenth year as Souderton Strikers Field Hockey Manager and Tenth year as the Indian Valley Youth League, Junior Stars and Harleysville FH/LAX summer camp Director. She has worked since 1995 for the Harris Camps. 

In her tenure, the Pioneers have won seven Bicentennial Athletic League titles, one second place finish in league, and qualified for districts each of those years, and also completed in state playoffs three times. Waldspurger is a Five-Time Bicentennial Athletic League Coach of Year (Field Hockey 2013, 2015, 2021 and Lacrosse in 2021 and 2022). She is married with two children, Madison and Max, Madison played club for Souderton Strikers and is currently a First Year at Division 1 Saint Francis University (PA).

 U19 Coaches

Becca Chylack

U19 Red / Festival / Shooting Stars / JPOL

Graduated from Souderton HS and LaSalle University in field hockey. Starting all four years, she is a 3x All Atlantic-10 Second Team Selection. Becca received NFHCA National Academic Squad, Phila Inquirer Academic All-Area, Atlantic-10 All-Tournament Team, and NFHCA All-Region Second Team honors. She was designated All-American and Atlantic-10 Rookie of the Year as a First-Year. Becca is a former Souderton Strikers player and one of our U19 coaches, entering her tenth year as the U19 Red coach.


Olivia Shoemaker 

U19 White / Shooting Stars / JPOL

Graduated from Souderton HS and LaSalle University in field hockey.  Former Longstreth/NFHCA All-Region and All Atlantic-10 conference player, she was a three year starter at LaSalle.  Olivia also received NFHCA National Academic Squad recognition.  She was a forward and midfielder in college - leading the team in scoring her junior and senior years. Olivia is entering her ninth season as the U19 White coach.  She also offers private lessons for the club.

Tara Maloney

U19 Gold and U16 Gold / Shooting Stars / JPOL

Graduate from Souderton HS and Slippery Rock University in field hockey. Currently a teacher in Philadelphia Area School District, she also coaches the Junior Varsity team at Souderton HS. Former Strikers Player entering her fifth season coaching U19 Gold and U16 Gold at Souderton Strikers.


Chris Chookagian

U19 Gold and U16 Gold / Shooting Stars / JPOL 

Graduate from Quakertown HS ​and NSU Florida. Played field hockey in HS and then for the Men's East Coast High Performance Team, with whom he won a Gold Medal at the 2015 California Cup. Chris is currently a member of the USA Men's National Developmental Team (Outdoor), training year-round. He coached one year at Lehigh, and is now an Assistant Coach and the Recruiting and Operations Coordinator at Ursinus College. He holds a USAFH Level 2 Coaching Certification, actively working on the Level 3 Certification and coaches USAFH Nexus (formerly USAFH Futures) each year. Chris is entering his sixth year Souderton Strikers FH Coach for U19 Gold and U16 Gold. 


Gabby Sedares

U19 Platinum

Graduate from Souderton HS and Arcadia University Field Hockey. Former Strikers player. Gabby is entering her fifth year coaching U19 Platinum. ​​​​


Ali Casciato

U19 Red and U14 Silver / Shooting Stars / JPOL

Former Strikers Player and Graduate from Souderton HS and West Chester University in field hockey. Junior Varsity Coach at Souderton HS. Ali is entering her fourth year as a Souderton Strikers FH Coach. 


 U16 Coaches

Sue Casciato

U16 Red / Disney / Shooting Stars / JPOL

Graduated from North Penn HS and Shippensburg University in field hockey. She is married with a daughter. While she was playing field hockey at Shippensburg she helped lead her team to the first National field hockey title in school history. Sue has coached in the Souderton and North Penn School districts over many years and has coached at many summer camps and clinics, including Harleysville FH/LAX Summer Camp. Sue has a daughter Ali (played field hockey at West Chester), who played for Souderton Strikers. Sue also coaches our Disney team. She is entering her sixteenth season with Souderton Strikers at the U16 level and is the Head Field Hockey Coach at Souderton High School.

Vickie Gluck

Goalie Coach​​ / U16 White and U14 White / Junior Stars / Shooting Stars / JPOL

Former Quakertown HS graduate and Gwynedd Mercy University graduate. Entering her eighth year as a goalie coach and coach to U16 white and U14 white teams. Vicki served as the head field hockey coach at Milford Middle School, and then as head coach at Indian Crest Middle School. She coaches at numerous camps and clinics - Harleysville Field Hockey camp, Junior Stars, JPOL and the Indian Valley Youth League.​​​​​


Kelly Driscoll

U16 White and U14 White

Graduated from Quakertown HS and Old Dominion University in field hockey. Kelly played for legendary coach Beth Anders. Kelly helped lead ODU to a NCAA Division 1 National Championship title in 1998 with a record of 23-2. Kelly assisted on the goal that led them to 3-2 victory over Princeton and was selected to all-tournament team. She is known for her quote – “we won a national championship – it doesn’t get any better than that”. After her senior year at ODU she went on to train with the USA Field Hockey National Team for several years. Over the past several years Kelly has coached the freshman team at Methacton HS, and most recently she was Head Coach at Quakertown HS and is entering her ninth year as a Souderton Strikers FH Coach.

Bridgette Spence

Former Souderton Area High School Varsity Field Hockey Assistant Coach. ​​Bridgette is entering her fifth year as a Souderton Strikers FH Coach.

Claire McAllister 

U16 Blue / Goalie Coach / Shooting Stars

Graduate from Plymouth Whitemarsh HS and University of Scranton in field hockey as a goalkeeper. She is Assistant Varsity Coach at Souderton HS. Claire is entering her second year as a Souderton Strikers FH Coach. 

 U14 Coaches

​Kim Dudek

U14 Red

Graduated from North Penn HS and Kutztown University. Kim was the Souderton High School coach for over 20 years in field hockey and lacrosse. She is married and has three children who went on to play college sports. Her oldest daughter, Nicole played field hockey at Duke University (named an All-American), second daughter, Christine played field hockey at Penn State, and her youngest son played soccer at Penn State as well. Her two daughters were Souderton Strikers players. Kim is entering her sixteenth year with the Souderton Strikers U14 level and she led her team to 2014 National Indoor Tournament title @ Spooky Nook.

Karen is entering her first season as a Souderton Strikers FH Coach. She is the Varsity Head Field Hockey Coach at Lansdale Catholic High School.

Kathryn Lehman

U14 Silver Coach

Former Strikers Player and Graduate from Upper Perk HS and Gwynedd Mercy University in field hockey. Currently a Nurse in St. Lukes Hospital Network.​ Kathryn is is entering her second year as a Souderton Strikers FH Coach.

Brynne Schoppe

U12 Red / Goalie Coach

Graduate from North Penn HS and Albright College in field hockey, played Goalie. Brynne is Assistant Varsity Coach at North Penn HS and is entering her second year as a Souderton Strikers FH Coach.

Karen Missimer ​

U10 Red

Graduate of Rider University on swimming scholarship - played field hockey in HS - currently runs the Whitpain Township field hockey recreation league and teaches in Colonial School District.​ Karen is entering her sixth year as a Souderton Strikers Coach.

Seasonal Coaches

Courtney Hughes

Former U19 Coach 

Graduated from Lock Haven University as a field hockey and softball player.  She has two kids that she enjoys spending her time with.  She is also a math teacher at Indian Valley Middle School and also athletic director there as well.


Taylor Yoder 

Former U16 and U14 Coach 

Graduated from LaSalle University field hockey player. 


Erin Saybolt 

Former U16 and U14 Coach

Former Souderton HS and Ursinus College Graduate in field hockey. ​Erin coached her first year as a Souderton Strikers FH Coach in 2021.


​Kim Macfarland

Former U14 Coach

Former Indian Valley Middle School Head Coach. Kim coached four years as a Souderton Strikers FH Coach. 


Melanie Humphrey

Former Goalie and U14 Coach

Graduated from Arcadia University as the field hockey goalie and Easton High School in New Jersey where she never lost a high school game. She recently moved to Maryland with her husband. 


Heidi Borisow

Former U12 Coach and Indian Valley FH Coach

Graduated from Souderton HS and Arcadia University field hockey and lacrosse player. She is married with three kids. Her two daughters, Juliana (Kutztown '21) and Angie (Rider '27) played for Souderton Strikers. Heidi led her U10 team to four indoor tournament wins in the 2021 season. She has coached Indian Valley Youth League and Harleysville FH/LAX summer camp for many years. She is also a lacrosse coach in the SAGLA. Heidi coached seven season with the Souderton Strikers.


Pam Sherry

Former Goalie Coach 

Graduated from Lock Haven University as a field hockey and lacrosse player.  She is married with five kids. She currently is a volunteer assistant field hockey coach at North Penn HS. She is also enjoying retirement, a former physical and health education teacher at North Penn School District, and her grandkids.
